Variations on this package are available. The package can easily be extended, with themed games and activities to fill a full school day with one group. Please enquire for details.

If you wish to book  this package for more than two classes, you need to book 1 full day or 2x schoolground safaris, which allows us to work with up to 4 classes in total. More  than 4 classes may require extra staff and will be charged accordingly.

KS1 SAFARI

The school ground safari takes you on an exploratory journey into the undergrowth under your very noses. Kitted out with specialist hunting devices, we will help you to unearth new worlds within the confines of your own school gates.
 

This experience allows young children the chance to discover first hand what is alive and not alive, by looking for tell tale signs and examining the evidence.
The animals found can be drawn and compared with the exotic livestock, which we will bring along to show you.

KS2 SAFARI

Optimum group size 1 class (around 30 children)

maximum group size 2 classes

As with the KS1 safari, we will embark upon an exploration of the undergrowth under our noses, in the school grounds.

We will seek out the strange and the fascinating, the weird and the wonderful by taking a fresh look at the ordinary.

We will compare and contrast the animals that we find with the more exotic gribblybugs.

We will use keys to identify and assign to groups the animals and plant life that we discover.
